OverviewIn the mass market, which is characterised by short product cycles and constantly changing regulations, flexible machines are indispensable. With its new Versatech medium-cycle filling machines, Synerlink, a specialist in filling and packaging machines, exploits the concept of flexibility to the maximum. The manufacturer thus offers food producers the opportunity to turn ever-changing market demands into opportunities. And so an innovative solution was created in cooperation with Bosch Rexroth.
Synerlink, part of the Barry-Wehmiller Packaging Systems Group, is a leader in the design and manufacture of filling and packaging machinery for rigid packaging solutions of dairy and other food and beverage products. With its three brands - Arcil, Dairy Pack and Hema - the company offers a broad portfolio of solutions, including packaging lines, thermoforming machines, linear and rotary fillers, filling and dosing modules, folding machines and line follower robot solutions.
Versatech owes its outstanding flexibility in part to the automation architecture based on the IndraDrive Mi drive solution without control cabinets and the compact IndraControl XM control platform from Bosch Rexroth. The control cabinet-less drive system of motor-integrated servo drives enables direct integration of all electrical drive components in the machine. All drives are connected on one drive train, which means 90 percent fewer cables are required.

"Trust is central to the Versatech project. With this new offer, Synerlink confirms its ambition to be a "trusted partner" in the food industry. Bosch Rexroth is doing the same with packaging machinery manufacturers, whom the company has supported in their innovations for 40 years. The cooperation between our teams was excellent - at all organisational levels. Bosch Rexroth always stood by us and was a driving force in this project," confirms Dominique Cossais, Innovations Synerlink.
"We always had an open ear, were flexible and reacted quickly - from the test equipment to the first machine. We are proud that such an innovative machine is associated with the Bosch Rexroth name," says Yacine Hadji, Applications Engineer at Bosch Rexroth.
