Continuous Directional Valves
To have the capability of actuating the adjustment devices in a turbine via control and regulation systems is a fundamental requirement for achieving high availability and reliability. A wide variety of continuous directional valves, with and without integrated valve electronics, is available for hydraulic control and regulation systems. Customers can also choose from digital continuous directional valves for suitable applications as an alternative to this classic valve technology with analog command value input.
Fast-acting control systems
Fast-acting control systems are installed when an actuator in the normal operating state (closed, open, or control position) must immediately assume a defined safety position following signal output. This fast-acting control system is specially designed for actuators in turbine control systems.
Hydraulic actuators
Gas or steam valves that are actuated by hydraulic actuators for example, are installed in turbines to regulate and control process procedures. A steam turbine, unlike a gas turbine, can use the valves to control the entire thermal energy of the turbine; in a gas turbine, only the quantity of fuel supplied is regulated as it is reflected by the dimensions of these actuators. The hydraulic actuators are offered in different versions for turbine power ranges of 25 to 1,600 MW for steam turbines and 25 to 375 MW for gas turbines, depending on the customer's needs.
Electromechanical actuators
The new electromechanical actuator with hydrostatic gear and spring-assisted emergency fast-acting function is fitted in a compact housing and operates independently with no additional oil-supply unit and piping necessary. Very easy to handle, the actuator considerably reduces commissioning and maintenance costs.
Hydraulic turning gear
To realize the hydraulic turning gear, Rexroth offers the necessary system components (hydraulic motor, control block and in case of need engagement cylinder) that meet the requirements of turbine manufacturers. The design of the hydraulic turning gear can also be modified, depending on the capacity of the turbine.
Oil supplies for hydraulic energy
A turbine plant contains two hydraulic worlds: Cooling and lubrication circuits are characterized by low system pressures and large supply flows, while hydraulic oil supply systems are used to transfer hydraulic energy and operate under medium to high pressures with small supply flows. Rexroth has proved to be a competent partner in designing both systems and offers separate supply units as well as both systems connected to a single reservoir.
Large electric drives
The IndraDrive ML extends the IndraDrive series into the upper power range: individually up to 500 kW, connected in parallel up to 8 devices and up to 4 MW. These space-saving, modular inverters are real all-rounders – they can be used as a mains power inverter or as a motor inverter. This minimizes the variants, simplifies handling and reduces your storage costs. And you save energy at the same time.
