ESD protection for production systems

ESD in Production

ESD (Electronic Static Discharge) is caused by electric charges that are generated by friction on various materials or by the influence of electric fields. Voltages of up to 10,000 V can be generated.

  • Overall system protection: Through the suitable choice of materials and connection technology, it is possible to select electrostatically conductive or static-dissipative components, thus ensuring the overall system is protected
  • Protection against product or component damage of ESD-sensitive components, thus saving costs
  • Bosch Rexroth ESD components meet the requirements for the protection of ESDS (DIN EN 61340-5-1)


Application examples with ESD-protected systems

To ensure and maintain the ESD-capability, we recommend checking the shunt resistance after every assembly and at regular intervals.
The individual national personal safety regulations must be observed during assembly and connection.
