Intelligent infeed systems
Products are grouped by multi-pass belts before they are filled into a box. This procedure is applied for both top loading and side loading machines. Two separately driven, parallel chains or belts each carry a train with connected pockets. Full trains are unloaded at the unloading station and then promptly return to the loading station.
Form fill and seal
Horizontal, vertical and thermoform fill and seal solutions reduced cabling and control cabinet expenses with IndraDrive Mi, enable the quickest possible format and product changeover with Rexroth FlexProfile and contain extensive technology functions for optimized engineering.
Wrapping for unit packages
After infeed, the containers are brought to the correct distance. A knife cuts the drawn film to the exact length before it is placed on top of a group of containers. A servo-controlled mechanism ensures that the container bundles are enclosed in film all around. The container bundles are heated in the adjacent shrink tunnel. This process ensures the typical, very stable packaging form.
Cartoning
The carton is taken from the magazine with the help of pneumatic exhausters and is then deposited into a pocket of the conveyor synchronously with the sequencer. Thanks to the cam disk function, pre-cut parts are taken over synchronously. The pre-cut parts are held in the timing chain, transported to the forming station, and glued with the aid of electronically controlled nozzles.
Palletizing and depalletizing
The shown palletizer is controlled via 3 axles (X,Y,Z) and allows for a three-dimensional product arrangement. The course of the track and the kinetic framework conditions can be predefined or calculated by the PLC according to the pallet pattern and external influencing factors. The portal axles are controlled by the Robot-Control (RoCo). The RoCo motion planer coordinates the movement of all portal axles. Further axles, such as infeed and removal axles, are controlled by the integrated PLC. Thanks to optimum space utilization by the portal palletizer, the pallets are removed directly behind the grabber.
Labelling and decorating
The containers are infed via a conveyor belt or from an accumulating conveyor belt. The servo motor-driven infeed star takes over the containers and feeds them into the container table. It works synchronously with the feed screw and rotary disk of the labeling machine. Labeling machines run mostly at a constant speed, i.e. the container table rotates at a speed that is adjusted to the process.
