Ocean current energy

Flowing water behaves in a similar way to air, but water has a 850 times higher density. This higher density enables a significantly higher power density compared to air, which in turn enables smaller rotor diameters with the same nominal output of hydropower plants.
To utilize the flow energy of the water efficiently, a rotor is used in conjunction with a hydrostatic gearbox to drive an electric generator.
By using our efficient low-speed radial piston pumps and the robust, adjustable axial piston motors, you can customize such a hydrostatic transmission for your application and for the efficient use of the different flow velocities.

Wave energy

To a first approximation, an ocean wave can be regarded as an oscillating linear movement. By using suitable mechanics, this movement can be used to drive hydrostatic transmissions.
Our cylinders in combination with our robust, adjustable axial piston motors, accumulators and our proven valve technology allow efficient use of the linear motion and optimum operation of the generators.

Wind energy

The kinetic flow energy of the air drives the rotor of a wind turbine, the rotation of which is converted into electrical energy by a generator.
